Ready-made Code C

Most versatile off-wind cruising for all boats

The unique Code C sail developed by Rolly Tasker Sails is the universal cruising sail for all courses lower than actually beating close-hauled upwind.  C stands for cruising as opposed to the Code Zero which is a racing sail for power upwind and reaching.

Optimized design

The design is optimized for the best use for cruising sailors in a wide range of wind angles.  It is easily handled which is achieved through the straight luff with the integrated anti-torsion luff rope.  The design enables the sail to be set flying on its own dedicated furler, meaning great simplicity and security in setting and recovering the sail.  Hoist the sail when furled and unfurl whenever you are ready. And before lowering the sail, just furl it again to recover it neatly and without any hassle.

Which course of wind?

The sail is best used at wind angles between 65 and 135 degrees, from a shy reach to a broad reach and even further downwind.  When using a spinnaker pole, the sail can be utilized straight down-wind.  Like a poled-out Genoa but with substantially more power.

Pre-fabricated for best value.

The Code C sail is fabricated from spinnaker nylon in different weights according to size.  The sail is available in 14 different sizes from 32 to 150 square metre.  Rolly Tasker Sails is committed to delivering the best value for money to its customers and the pre-fabricated Code C sail does just that. It comes in a standard black-white-red colour scheme.

Choosing your Code C

We will measure the maximum luff length on board, depending on whether there will be a short bowsprit or whether it will be set from the foredeck, inside the pulpit and of course taking into account measurements of the furler drum, top swivel and stretch.

For ultimate ease of handling the Code C sail, use a dedicated roller furling system so that the sail can be set furled and then unfurled at your convenience and without any stress.  Rolly Tasker recommends the “Sveggen” furler.
